Just the FAQs

Do I need to make a reservation?

No, just come on in during business hours and we’ll help you get started.  Save yourself some time by signing the waiver and video orientation acknowledgement online before you arrive.

Can I see a virtual tour?

Yes!  Visit here.

Who needs to sign a waiver?

Everyone, even if you aren’t climbing. You will also need to sign the orientation video acknowledgement form.  Click below to fill both out before you arrive to the gym.

What do I need to start?

Just some comfortable athletic clothes and an adventurous attitude; climbing shoes are available to rent if needed as street shoes are not permitted on our walls.

Do you have an age limit?

Yes, the minimum age to participate is 7.  Additionally, if you’re bringing a child under the age of 14, they must be supervised at all times:

  • All children between the ages of 10-13 must be supervised by an adult at a 2:1 – child to adult – ratio.
  • Children under 10 years old must be directly supervised (within arm’s length) by an adult at a 1:1: – child to adult – ratio.
  • If you bring more than one child, please plan accordingly.

Do I need a partner or can I climb by myself?

If you are rope climbing, it’s always advised to climb with a partner, but we do have 8 auto belays in the roping area (which allow you to climb without a belay partner).  Bouldering is done without a partner or ropes.

What is Bouldering and is it hard?

Bouldering is a style of climbing that is generally done on shorter walls (less than 20 feet tall) without the use of harnesses or ropes.  It’s as challenging or easy as you want it to be, and our “problems” are color coded to help you identify its level of difficulty.

Method is a wonderful place, with wonderful community, and wonderful climbing!
Response from the owner: Thanks for the wonderful review!
I will start off by saying that it’s a great space, and the staff are super friendly. The reason for two stars is because they really need to address the air filtration system. I’ve never been to a climbing gym where there’s a strong musty or mildew smell, and the chalk fills the air. Whoever manages the facility, please look into a better air filtration system. And lastly, consider daily maintenance of all the equipment. The gym equipment was caked with who knows what. Again, the space is pretty cool, but it’s so dirty, and the smell is horrible.
Response from the owner: I'm sorry that you experienced this. Our HVAC system has been giving us problems and we're trying to fix the issues. We are also moving towards banning loose chalk starting in September to help with the chalk issuePlease contact us at info@nullmethodclimb.com to discuss further. Our apologies!
Best jumping and exercise
Response from the owner: Thank you!
I had a pleasant time here! the employees were very hospitable and helped me and my family. the only complaint would be the prices… rentals do not include chalk, so i would suggest bringing some of your own.edit: they now have free liquid chalk to use!! It’s very kind of them. Also, if you’re a college student you can climb for 18 dollars on fridays after 6pm i believe. very good deal!
Response from the owner: Thanks Kevin!

Sweet space, great setting, would highly recommend!
Response from the owner: Thanks Brent!
the guy was very gracious and everything. but my issue is the pass or fail policy of the top rope certification. i didn't know that tying in to the two tie-in points is preferable and always used the belay loop. while it's great to learn the knowledge, it would've been great to just let me fix it and climb especially when i just want to do top rope.one more thing, no service in the basement is a tad inconvenient
Response from the owner: I'm sorry for the inconvenience! It is fairly typical to require.abother visit to pass a failed belay test but I'd agree that your mistake was something that could have been retested in the moment. Sorry about that!
