Just the FAQs

Do I need to make a reservation?

No, just come on in during business hours and we’ll help you get started.  Save yourself some time by signing the waiver and video orientation acknowledgement online before you arrive.

Can I see a virtual tour?

Yes!  Visit here.

Who needs to sign a waiver?

Everyone, even if you aren’t climbing. You will also need to sign the orientation video acknowledgement form.  Click below to fill both out before you arrive to the gym.

What do I need to start?

Just some comfortable athletic clothes and an adventurous attitude; climbing shoes are available to rent if needed as street shoes are not permitted on our walls.

Do you have an age limit?

Yes, the minimum age to participate is 7.  Additionally, if you’re bringing a child under the age of 14, they must be supervised at all times:

  • All children between the ages of 10-13 must be supervised by an adult at a 2:1 – child to adult – ratio.
  • Children under 10 years old must be directly supervised (within arm’s length) by an adult at a 1:1: – child to adult – ratio.
  • If you bring more than one child, please plan accordingly.
Do I need a partner or can I climb by myself?

If you are rope climbing, it’s always advised to climb with a partner, but we do have 8 auto belays in the roping area (which allow you to climb without a belay partner).  Bouldering is done without a partner or ropes.

What is Bouldering and is it hard?

Bouldering is a style of climbing that is generally done on shorter walls (less than 20 feet tall) without the use of harnesses or ropes.  It’s as challenging or easy as you want it to be, and our “problems” are color coded to help you identify its level of difficulty.

Group Events?

If you’re interested in coming in with a group, we offer special pricing! Just fill out the form found at the link below and we will get back to you shortly.

Sofia SantosSofia Santos ★★★★★ one of the best gyms out in the tri-state area. community's at 110%. i <3 the staff. location is accessible with public transportation with NJ transit & broad st station. parking is near. there is climbing gear for sale in their cafe.the entire gym is well-maintained. has a kilter board + tension board 2 + moon board. the route setters switch out the climbs mindfully and consistently, providing every level of climber with a good variety.would recommend checking their instagram @methodclimb for updates on their hours, offers, their fitness classes (TRX, capoeira, yoga, adult training program, etc.) and their maaaaany events such as shoe demos, vendor markets, mixers, LGBTQ+ meetups, ladies' night, college night, monthly mock competitions, and more. super easy to get to know other climbers & find your people.some of their events offer discounts for day passes as well, so those new to climbing can experience both the community and climbs with great valuefor first timers or long-time members, method's perfect. always a good timeResponse from the ownerSofia, thank you for the detailed review! puffy turtlepuffy turtle ★☆☆☆☆ management is rude to their staff within the cafe space. the gym doesnt feel welcoming or inclusiveResponse from the ownerWe try to go above and beyond to welcome everyone into the community. Roberto ColonRoberto Colon ★☆☆☆☆ Eight of the 10 light fixtures in the top roping area have been non-functional for over six weeks now. I've brought it to the attention of staff on multiple occasions. The place is already dismal as there is no natural lighting. When will this safety issue be addressed?Response from the ownerSorry but it's not easy to fix those fixtures because they are so high up. The lights actually work but flicker and our guests requested that we turn them off until they get fixed. We have been asking ownership to fix them for a while. Coincidentally, they are getting fixed next week. js_loader
